We are an active partner to automakers in their efforts towards optimize manufacturing globally. Toyoda Gosei plants operate in the world’s four largest markets for automobiles:

• North America
• Europe
• Asia (outside Japan) and Australia
• Japan

That geographical reach spares automakers the trouble of finding and cultivating a different supplier for each market. The products that we develop with the automakers become available to their vehicle plants worldwide through our local manufacturing operations.
Business outside Japan accounted for ¥118.5 billion—about 30%—of our consolidated sales in the fiscal year to March 31, 2004. And we expect that total to increase to ¥135 billion in the fiscal years to March 31, 2005. The growth in our international business will include greatly broadened ties with automakers of all nationalities.

They bring advanced technology, provide employees with valuable training, promote local people to management positions, and purchase parts and materials locally.
