Toyoda Gosei deploys its technological strengths, centered on rubber and plastic polymer technologies, in four automotive business units: Interior and Exterior Parts, Body Sealing Products, Functional Parts, and Safety System Products. As an automotive component system supplier, we respond to the diverse needs of our customers through the reduction of the number of vehicle parts by modularizing and integrating components as well as through the development of various airbags that fortifies the safety of vehicles for providing increased valued-added automotive products. We make the most of the high-polymer technology we have cultivated through years of business for the development of products with lower carbon loads such as substituting metallic parts with resin to contribute to weight saving.

A positive stance toward new technological sectors
Toyoda Gosei developed the world’s first blue LED in 1991, and began mass-producing and marketing it in 1995. Today our products are used in LCD backlight for laptop PCs and TVs, and for traffic lights, and the company is working on higher output LEDs with longer life for residential lighting. Toyoda Gosei’s General Industry Products business unit has built on automotive-related technological strength to cultivate business in communication device components, air conditioner components and residential building materials. The business unit is a valuable antenna for the company in detecting new and future trends in customer demands.
