Supporting comprehensive manufacturing
Continuing advances in technology fortify production engineering at Toyoda Gosei, starting in product planning and material development and continuing throughout the manufacturing sequence. In 2009, the company established a Research and Development Center for advanced development integrating material and product developments and production technology. The company also exerts effort in the development of environmentally friendly technology through the structuring of a recycling system employed from the raw material stage with the goal of resource circulation?and developing reconstruction techniques allowing for energy conservation that contribute to the prevention of global warming.
Digital engineering for evaluation and analysis
Shortening lead times in product development is a pressing issue in creating products today to meet the needs of tomorrow. Toyoda Gosei has sped up development and improved product quality by using digital engineering to integrate the entire database from product planning to mass production. The development engineers use virtual prototypes for most of the evaluation and analysis work and can modify specifications immediately as necessary. Largely eliminating physical prototypes has lowered costs while streamlining work in product design and in preparation for mass production. |
