Toyoda Gosei at a Glance
What Kind of Company Is Toyoda Gosei?
A global supplier of automotive parts that use rubber and plastics technology
In addition to our core technology in rubber and plastics, we provide high-function, high-quality products and services worldwide in collaboration with Group companies.
Where Does the Name Toyoda Gosei Come from?
We have inherited the mindset and traits of Toyoda Kiichiro, the founder of Toyota Motors. We took on the Toyoda name as the core company in the Toyota Group in the field of rubber. “Gosei” (synthesis) was adopted with the idea of creating new things from the main materials that we use. Together with the start of the company, the name reflects the spirit of creating new value.

Airbags protect lives in the event of an accident
Starting with the mass production of driver’s side airbags in 1989, Toyoda Goseihas mass-produced a wide range of airbags to protect vehicle occupants. These include airbags for front passengers, side airbags and curtain airbags for side collisions, and rear airbags to protect rear seat passengers when the vehicle is hit from behind. We have achieved full 360°coverage that protects people inside vehicles from collisions from all angles. Today, we are expanding our targets for protection to people outside of vehicles, and working to develop and mass produce airbags that protect pedestrians, who account for a large percentage of traffic fatalities.

Wide range of interior products
Toyoda Gosei produces a wide range of products that improve comfort in vehicle cabins, including instrument panels, plastic products around the driver and passenger seats, console boxes that function as storage and armrests between seats, and driver alert lighting systems using LEDs.

Wide range of exterior products
These products are located on the front of vehicles and serve as the vehicle face.
The aesthetics are improved with distinctive design and decoration.
We have a wide range of products including radiator grilles, which function in cooling the radiator, and millimeter wave radar compatible emblems and illuminated emblems, which cover and are transparent to the millimeter wave radar used in millimeter wave radar preventive safety systems, and also provide aesthetic illumination.

Oil pumps support the basic performance of automobiles
These pumps suction up and circulate oil to reduce friction in the transmission gears and bearings for smoother operation.
What is a transmission?
The transmission is a component that transmits the engine’s motive force to the wheels via combinations of gears. It also plays a role in reducing the burden on the engine and improving fuel efficiency by properly changing and transmitting speed and torque matched to vehicle driving conditions.

Weatherstrips protect the vehicle interior from rain, wind and noise

These products are attached to doors and window frames to protect the cabin from wind, rain and noise. They also serve many other roles, including smooth opening and closing of doors and raising and lowering of windows.
