Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. (president: Takashi Matsuura) will establish a new factory for its interior and exterior parts business in the city of Seto, in Aichi Prefecture. The company decided to establish this factory in a bid to secure production capacity in order to meet increasing demand for production of interior and exterior parts (mainly precision components), to reorganize its production system and also to improve logistical efficiency.

The Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. Seto plant, a new facility to be established in Sosakucho, Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, with capital investment (in phase one) of approximately 2.8 billion yen, will begin producing interior and exterior automobile parts (including instrument panels, console boxes and glove compartments) in April 2007. The total land area of the factory lot is approximately 45,500m², which will come online in three phases. Operations for phase one, which comprises approximately 23,000 m²of the total space, will begin in April 2007; operations for phase two, at roughly 8,500 m², are scheduled to begin at the end of 2008, while those for phase three, at about 14,000 m², are scheduled to begin at the end of 2009. The total interior area of all buildings is approximately 7,000 m²(from the phase one lot). In the interests of environmental conservation, the buildings will be constructed with building materials recycled from the pavilions from the 2005 World Expo in Aichi. The company expects to employ about 100 workers and achieve sales of approximately 4.8 billion per year in phase one; by phase three total employees should number about 270 while sales should reach approximately 14 billion yen per year.
