Kiyosu, Japan, December 1 2020: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. will launch two new deep UV LED products that can eliminate viruses and bacteria, a UVC space disinfector and a disinfection box, in late-December and mid-January, respectively. They are the latest addition to Toyoda Gosei’s lineup of products* that contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Deep UV LEDs emit short wavelength UV light that denatures the genetic material of viruses and bacteria so that they lose infectivity. The company is applying this technology broadly to air purification, surface disinfection and more. UVC space disinfectors can be used to disinfect offices, homes and elsewhere, by capturing airborne bacteria and viruses in a filter and killing them with deep UV. Disinfection boxes are suitable for disinfecting the surfaces of smartphones and other small devices and tools.

Toyoda Gosei will continue to aim for sustainable growth by providing products that contribute to safer and healthier living environments.
