Toyoda Gosei Earns Highest Rating in “Climate Change” and “Supplier Engagement Assessment” in CDP Company Survey
Kiyosu, Japan, August 4, 2025: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. has received the highest rating in the areas of “Climate change” and “Supplier engagement assessment” in a company survey conducted by the CDP,1 an international ratings organization. This is the first year Toyoda Gosei has received the highest rating in “Climate change” and the sixth consecutive year in “Supplier engagement assessment”. The company is rated at the leadership level in “Water security”.
These ratings in the areas of “Climate change” and “Water security” appreciate Toyoda Gosei’s efforts including its receipt of SBT2 certification by the international organization SBTi for its 2030 CO2 reduction targets, its activities to steadily reduce water usage and waste, and its active information disclosure based on TCFD3 guidelines. In the “Supplier engagement assessment”, Toyoda Gosei is highly rated for formulating environmental activities guidelines for suppliers, efforts to reduce CO2 and other substances over the entire supply chain, and disclosing information on Scope 3 emissions.4
Toyoda Gosei has adopted the mission of leaving a more abundant world for the future, and going forward the company will conduct environmentally-friendly business activities in collaboration with customers and suppliers to help achieve carbon neutrality, a circular economy, and nature positivity.
This year’s results in each area
1 A not-for-profit organization (NPO) that surveys and rates companies and cities on their efforts for climate change and water management. It is one of the most trusted ratings agencies by institutional investors and others. Ratings are made on four levels: Leadership level (A, A−), management level (B, B−), awareness level (C, C−), and information disclosure level (D, D−).
