Blinds are integrated with window sash and have no slats
Toyoda Gosei Develops Window Blinds With New Type of Structure
Kiyosu, Japan, September 24, 2025: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. has developed window blinds with a new type of structure, FINRESBLIND®, in one endeavor to pioneer new business such as smart homes and energy.
FINRESBLIND incorporates an originally-developed, unique light polarization film and technology cultivated in the development of automobile air conditioning registers so that it has no slats, can be integrated with the window sash, and can be installed even in small spaces. Since there are no slat or adjustment cords, it is also safer for toddlers and others.* Moreover, unlike electric window films that control incoming light, no wiring or other major construction is required and the blind can be easily installed in existing windows. Going forward, the company will introduce more color variations and improve the design appeal.
This stylish blind is currently being displayed in Komatsu Wall Industry Co., Ltd.’s “Show Move Hub Nagoya” showroom. Toyoda Gosei aims to apply the blind for residential, building, and commercial facility windows, and is also continuing development with a view to use in future mobility.
