Toyoda Gosei Formulates 8th Environmental Action Plan
Kiyosu, Japan, April, 2026: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. has formulated its 8th Environmental Action Plan, a five-year plan for the years up to 2030. With this plan, the company aims to achieve the targets such as carbon neutrality outlined in the TG 2050 Environmental Challenge, the company’s long-term vision for its environmental activities.
This latest Environmental Action Plan will be advanced on the three pillars of carbon neutrality (CN), circular economy (CE), and nature positivity (NP). As climate change rapidly progresses, the acceleration of resource recycling (CE) has become essential in achieving carbon neutrality (CN), while a rich natural environment (NP) contributes to mitigating climate change. The company’s efforts will be based on this trinity of mutually interconnected elements (CN, CE, NP). The entire Toyoda Gosei Group will also conduct environmentally-friendly business activities, as set forth in the Group Charter for Global Environmental Conduct*.
Toyoda Gosei aims to be a leading company in the environmental field, and has undertaken efforts to achieve mid-range targets every five years since 1993. In 2016, the company declared that it would achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and in 2023 brought forward the target year for achieving carbon neutrality for CO2 emissions generated from the company’s production activities (Scope 1 and 2) to 2030. In the 7th Environmental Action Plan (FY2021–FY2025) formulated in 2021, the company achieved all the targets set.
Toyoda Gosei will continue to actively pursue environmental initiatives to achieve these new targets.
