Toyoda Gosei Achieves Level 2 in Automotive SPICE® International Assessment Standards for Software Development
Kiyosu, Japan, April 13, 2026: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. has been confirmed by third-party certification body SGS Japan Inc. to have achieved capability Level 2 in Automotive SPICE®1 international standards for assessment of the quality of automotive software development.
Against a backdrop of advances in next-generation vehicles (software-defined vehicles; SDVs) whose performance is determined by software, the development of software that raises the added value of the product has become increasingly important in recent years. Toyoda Gosei, as one aspect of product development that combines electronic components into its core rubber and plastic products, has established processes and strengthened systems for software development that forms the foundation of product development. In the interior lighting project, the company has achieved capability Level 2 in Automotive SPICE® international assessment standards, which means a third-party organization assessed and confirmed that the software development process of the company had been performed with systematic execution and appropriate management at a uniform maturity.
Toyoda Gosei will continue to contribute to the creation of more comfortable mobility spaces through products with higher added value.
